Guardian® Horizontal Screen

Superior’s patent-pending Guardian Horizontal Screen is a triple shaft horizontal screen that can be used in a portable plant application or as a stand-alone product in fixed plants. It is typically used in finer screening applications that are horizontal or not inclined more than 2.5 degrees. The Guardian Horizontal Screen provides you with a screen design that sizes and separates material more accurately and efficiently than an incline screen.

Unique features include bottle jack lifting points for spring replacement, fully-enclosed belt guards with integrated tensioning systems, and hinged access doors on side plates to ease access. The unit can be upfitted to your existing plant or manufactured as an entirely new portable screening plant.

Bottle Jack Lifting Points

• The Guardian Horizontal Screen features bottle jack lifting points that simplify your spring replacement. The lifting points for changing out springs are in each of the four corners of the screen, a design exclusive to Superior. This allows you to simply put a bottle jack in and raise up, requiring only six to eight bolts to remove and slide out the old springs. This maintenance convenience eliminates the need for a crane or bucket loader, allowing you to replace the springs quickly and safely.

Belt Guard

• The Guardian Horizontal Screen features a fully enclosed, segmented belt guard with an external handle for safer operation and easier access during maintenance. Belt guards are typically very large and heavy, making them difficult to replace alone or without the aid of heavy machinery. The belt guard is segmented into five pieces with no piece being heavier than 50 pounds. This segmentation speeds up your replacement process. The belt guard uses a rubber Lovejoy® tensioning arm that is fully integrated for accelerated maintenance.
